Nature is part of my life and we are all part of it. So every time we contribute to its destruction, and we do it at an accelerating pace, we advance towards the abyss!

One of the problems I feel closest to is coastal erosion. In the many trips to the beach, over the years, I have been observing and realizing with concern the constant advance of the sea on the coast. This problem has multiple causes; although some are natural, on which we have little control, the most relevant ones arise from anthropic activities. Our civilization, whose needs are supported by fossil fuels, is creating a deeply disturbed planet, where sea levels are increasingly threatening coastal cities around the world.
